Make mental health work for you
One in five New Zealanders report feeling anxious, stressed or depressed, with one in three facing mental health challenges at some time in their lives.
As a health and wellness provider, we wanted to help by making access to support easier. So, since 2021 we’ve offered all our members free 3 mental-wellness sessions per year, aimed at helping people reduce stress, handle anxiety, manage moods and sleep better. Members can opt to receive support from a provider of their choice or through our specialist partner, Clearhead.
Clearhead services are available online or in person with 500 therapists to choose from, including dedicated Māori and Pacifika professionals. There’s virtually no delay, so you can book an appointment to receive help usually within 24 hours.
If you choose to use a non-Clearhead registered therapist, UniMed will reimburse you for an equivalent amount. You’ll just need to pay and claim as per our normal claiming process.

That's why we've partnered with bloom hearing to give you an incredible opportunity to keep your hearing health in check.
