members at some time during their UniMed coverage require a visit
to hospital. This in itself is often a very traumatic experience.
By telephoning
0800 600 666 and asking for UniMed's Prior Approval service,
you will be able to alleviate the additional stress associated
with the lodging of a claim. UniMed's understanding staff will
guide you through the process of arranging to have your invoices
directly paid to your health service providers and thereafter
provide you with a summary of what UniMed has paid and dependant
upon the plan you choose, any amount which may be outstanding
as your own personal contribution.
It is important
to contact UniMed as soon as you learn of the need tt go to hospital
even though the date set for the procedure may be some considerable
time into the future.
